1986 Paula Creamer is born in Mountain View, California. Taking up golf at the age of 10, just two years later she won 13 consecutive junior events in Northern California. A semi-finalist in the 2003 US Women's Amateur she also finished tied 13th in the 2004 US Women's Open and played in the Curtis Cup that year, turning pro after that. Her pro career includes 9 LPGA Tour victories to date (July 2013), the most recent of which was the 2010 US Women's Open, where she beat Na Yeon Choi and Suzann Pettersen by four shots.
Her liking for the colour pink dates to her amateur days, when she acquired the nickname 'Pink Panther' from Casey Wittenberg, and it has stuck. She often plays a pink golf ball to complement pink outfits and much of her equipment.
