Kaymer, who had been playing for his fifth title in 11 starts going back to the 2010 USPGA Championship, moves to the World No.1 position with his runner-up spot, pushing Lee Westwood off the top after 17 weeks. Kaymer is the 14th man to ascend to the No. 1 spot, and the second German. Bernhard Langer was the first golfer to be the Official World No. 1 for the first three weeks of the Ranking's existence in April 1986.
