1979 'Slammin' Sam Snead, aged 67, shoots a 66 on the final day of the Ed McMahon Quad Cities Open, becoming the first professional on the PGA Tour to shoot better than his age (he had already shot his age two days earlier). It was his best round of the tournament, in which he scored 70-67-74-66=277, to finish in a tie for 36th, winning $942.
