1959 Peter Albert Charles Senior is born in Singapore, although Australian by nationality. Like many Australian golfers he is a tireless world traveller and has won some 30 tournaments worldwide on the European Tour, Japan Golf Tour, PGA Tour of Australasia and the European Seniors Tour, winning four Australian Order of Merit titles and playing on the International Team in the first two Presidents Cups.
An early exponent of the long putter, he adopted it in 1989 after watching Sam Torrance, first at the Italian Open and then during the British Masters at Woburn, where he tried it for the first time. Putting one in his bag the following day he shot a 66 and has used the putter ever since, including later that year in Australia where he notched up six victories, including the first of his three Australian PGA Championships.
