On my second visit of this unusual design I had to revise my first impression: Barely two years after the opening the course is in very good shape and once getting used to the rectangular greens, sand- and grassbunkers it is a truly enjoyable golfing experience. Though not very long (just 5500 metres from the backtees) the almost constant wind has to be taken in account on many holes. Choose your clubs with care!
The reason for the design has been to fit the course into the 'squares' of the olive groves and vineyards that dominate the landscape. The setting in the white limestone surroundings of the Alpilles at the foot of the old fortress Les-Baux-de-Provence is awesome and the 5-star resort leaves no wishes unfulfilled.

This charming little 9-hole course is gone and has been replaced by new 18 holes. The setting is magnificent, however the new course might be somewhat controversial.
The greens and bunkers are of rectangular shape and the backtees often fitted with mats. Playing a little over 6000 yards the course is not really long but the walking distances between greens and the next tees sometimes fairly long. A stay a the luxurious but high priced hotel with its nice spa and fine restaurant can be recommended. But only for playing a round of golf on this unusually designed course I would not take the detour.
Greenfees range from EURO 48.00- 75.00.
