Guess who's got The Extra 20 Yards®
August 12, 2011

Golf strength and fitness company The Extra 20 Yards has recently added to its army of supporters with a personal request from a recent Ryder Cup captain.

Following a conversation with 2009 Women’s British Open winner Catriona Matthew – an early adopter and fan of The Extra 20 Yards - her compatriot was convinced that he should try out the strength and fitness machine for himself. Following that conversation, his people spoke to the company’s people and arranged for an Extra 20 Yards to be fitted in his Perthshire home.

Did you guess who it is yet..?

Not famed for his approach to golf fitness, The Ryder Cup captain and European Tour player is a perfect candidate to benefit from The Extra 20 Yards . Made for people who would rather be swinging a club than hitting the gym, The Extra 20 Yards is designed to work the muscles specific to the golf swing and deliver results from just 5 minutes a day 3 times per week.

Based on a resistance weight machine, The Extra 20 Yards incorporates a golf grip attached to a moveable pulley that is set to the ideal angle of swing plane for either right or left handed golfers. With the system perfectly replicating the golf swing, every necessary muscle is worked from the fingers right through to the legs.

This installation of The Extra 20 Yards adds to the growing list of club and professional golfers who have seen the benefits of using the system in their practice and training routines, and coaches to Tour players and PGA professionals who use the machine to demonstrate swing feelings in their lessons.

Still not guessed..? We're not going to give the game away, but needless to say within a few weeks of using The Extra 20 Yards this Scottish, ex-Ryder Cup captain, known for his dislike of the gym, will have a physique comparable with the image above and see the distance on his drives grow at the same rate as his muscles..!
