FootJoy dominate AT&T leaderboard
July 4, 2011

FootJoyFootJoy, the #1 Shoe and Glove in Golf, is delighted to announce the success of its ambassadors Nick Watney and Thomas Levet, as both players scored impressive victories this past weekend. On the PGA Tour, rising-star Watney won the AT&T National to claim his second victory of the 2011 season in a leaderboard dominated by FootJoy players. While on the European Tour, Levet won his national title at the Alstom Open de France. Levet becomes just the second Frenchman in history to win the event, following a closing 1-under par 70 around the challenging Le Golf National course, which will host the 2018 Ryder Cup matches. The popular Frenchman showed his poise in front of an enthusiastic home crowd, making par on the infamous par-4 18 th hole for a winning-total of 277, 7-under par.

Levet chose the all-round excellence of the FJ ICON™ MyJoys for his 6 th European Tour victory, opting to customize the market-leading shoe with the recently introduced wave pattern. With this win, the 2004 Ryder Cup star moves to 16 th in the Race to Dubai standings and becomes France's most successful European Tour player. On the PGA Tour, Nick Watney wore the youthful FJ Sport™ golf shoe to claim his second victory of the season at Aronimink Golf Club, as he becomes the new leader in the FedEx Cup rankings and enters the top-10 of the Official World Golf Rankings. Watney also put his faith in the superior feel of FootJoy's PureTouch™ glove. It was another dominant week for the market-leader on the PGA Tour with 9 of the top-10 finishers wearing FootJoy shoes, including all of the top-5.

Success on home soil for Levet makes it four wins out of four for FootJoy on the main European Tour, while an FJ dominated leaderboard at the AT&T National, highlights the brands continued dominance on golf's leading professional Tours.

Whether it is the all-round excellence of the FJ ICON™ , the reliability and consistent performance of the new DryJoys Tour™ , or the comfort of the FJ Sport™ , FootJoy remains the overwhelming favourite for golfers of all abilities around the world.
