Playoff victory for Pablo Larrazábal with FootJoy
June 28, 2011

FootJoyFootJoy, the #1 Shoe and Glove in Golf, is delighted to announce the success of its ambassador Pablo Larrazábal, after the 28 year-old won the BMW International Open on Sunday for his second European Tour title. The victory came on the fifth hole of a sudden-death play-off at the Golfclub München Eichenried in Germany, after the Spaniard had tied for the 72-hole lead on 16-under par. With the win Pablo moves into the top-ten of the Race to Dubai Rankings and assures his place in the field for The Open Championship next month at Royal St Georges.

The tenacious Barcelona native chose the comfort and style of the FJ ICON™ MyJoys customised golf shoes, featuring exquisite calfskin leathers and performance infused outsoles. As well as the sensational feel of FootJoy's StaSof® glove, the world's #1 Cabretta Leather glove. A host of fellow FootJoy ambassadors also finished inside the top-ten, including George Coetze and Mark Foster in tied 3rd , as well as Ross Fisher and Lee Slattery who tied for 9th .

Following victory for Robert Rock at the Italian Open and Rory McIlroy's maiden major win at the U.S. Open last weekend, Larrazábal's triumph completes a hat-trick of successes for the market-leader in the last three weeks, highlighting FootJoy's continued winning pedigree on Tour.

Whether it is the all-round excellence of the FJ ICON™ , the reliability and consistent performance of the new DryJoys Tour™ , or the comfort of the FJ Sport, FootJoy remains the overwhelming favourite for golfers of all abilities around the world.
