Scratch "Fore" Sunglasses for golf
August 24, 2011

Kent based company Rapid Eyewear have released two new pairs of sunglasses in their 'Scratch Golf' range. First up is 'Fore', a gorgeous looking sports-wrap around design that features a crystalised grey TR90 frame, with rubber extension tips and nose pads for comfortable wearing.

As usual, Rapid Eyewear have bundled three sets of interchangeable lenses to suit different light conditions. The standard lens is a Category 3 with a green mirror tint, which provides excellent definition when reading fairways and greens through the filtering of blue light. The other lens sets are Category 2 beige polarised, for excellent glare-blocking on fairly bright days and Category 0 yellow (light enhancing), for dull days. All lenses have anti-scratch coatings and cut-out vents, which greatly reduce the problem of sweat patches forming on the inside surfaces, plus decentred optics.

To complete the Fore package, a high quality carry case, head securing / neck strap and cleaning cloth are also supplied. The case has internally stitched pockets for housing the extra lenses, whilst the belt fixing loops and catch ensure you can carry the whole kit around in a handy way.

Fore sunglasses conform to EN1836 and US Z80.3 regulations for sports safety eyewear. As such they offer 100% UVA / UVB protection, and are extremely robust.

Fore can be purchased directly from Rapid Eyewear by visiting www.rapideyewear.co.uk , calling 01622 812133 or through visiting your local dealer - a full list of these can be found on the website. The RRP is £43.99, plus £4.99 postage if buying from the manufacturers.

Scratch 'Fairway' Sunglasses for Golf

Second of the new-for-2011 Scratch packages is 'Fairway', which makes use of a matt black TR90 frame, finished with orange rubber tips and nose pads. This attractive scheme is perfectly complemented by the green mirror tint lens, but as always, aesthetics aren't the main concern here - the green tint is designed to provide superb definition when eyeing up your next shot.

The usual three sets of optically superior lenses are provided - in addition to the green, you get Category 2 beige polarised, for excellent glare-blocking on fairly bright days and Category 0 yellow (light enhancing), for dull days. Cut-out vents negate the usual problem of sweat finding its way from your eyebrows onto the inside of the lenses, where it can form mist patches, whilst the anti-scratch coating helps to keep your lenses in good condition. A carry case, cleaning cloth and neck / head strap complete a comprehensive package at an excellent price.

Fairway conform to EN1836 and US Z80.3 regulations for sports safety eyewear - they feature 100% UVA / UVB protection.

Fairway can be purchased directly from Rapid Eyewear by visiting www.rapideyewear.co.uk , calling 01622 812133 or through visiting your local dealer - a full list of these can be found on the website. The RRP is £43.99, plus £4.99 postage if buying from the manufacturers.
