New spikeless FJ DryJoys Tour released

March 21, 2013

FootJoy has launched the all-new DryJoys Tour SL (spikeless) model. Available at retail from the 10th April, this traditionally-styled lifestyle golf shoe has been developed using identical construction techniques to the brand’s DryJoys Tour franchise. Dryjoys now have a spikeless option, ideal for on and off-course wear.

Providing golfers with comfort, fit and flexibility, the DryJoys Tour SL will be available in classic Black smooth/Black pebble and White smooth/White pebble colour options. High-performance outsole technology includes a TPU/DuraMax Rubber spikeless outsole for effective grip on all terrains and a Fibreglass Shank and a TPU/EVA Integrated midsole for enhanced flexibility and comfort. The DryJoys Tour SL also features the ECL (Extreme Comfort Leather) proprietary waterproofing system, developed in conjunction with Pittards of England and Leather Quarter Linings that provide superior comfort, slip resistance, and in-shoe breathability. In-shoe technology includes a lightweight Comfort Plus PU Fit-Bed® that delivers additional cushioning and a Laser Plus Last that has been designed to closer match the shape of the foot.

“The DryJoys Tour family has long been synonymous with the FootJoy brand and is worn by scores of FJ brand ambassadors around the globe, including 2010 Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen and US Ryder Cup stars and multiple PGA Tour winners, Steve Stricker and Zach Johnson,” commented Russell Lawes, European Marketing Manager – FootJoy. “With the hybrid golf shoe market continuing to grow in popularity and buoyed by the success of our FJ spikeless range, we felt now was the perfect time to introduce the DryJoys Tour SL to the market ahead of the golfing season. The reaction from retailers has been extremely encouraging in response to a lifestyle shoe that showcases the premium materials, comfort and style that FootJoy has delivered for over 100 years."

The launch of the DryJoys Tour SL sees FootJoy expand its impressive line-up of spikeless golf shoes, that now includes, the all-new M:PROJECT spikeless, the Contour Casual, the FJ Sport spikeless which Chris Wood wore en-route to capturing the Qatar Masters and the Women’s LoPro Casual which is currently worn by the #1 women in the game, Stacey Lewis.

The DryJoys Tour SL will be available in a variety of sizing options, including whole and half sizes in both, medium and wide widths. On sale from 10th April DryJoys Tour SL will come with a 1-year waterproof guarantee and a suggested retail price of £120.
