Nike Victory Polo shirt 2013 to debut in Dubai

This week's Dubai Desert Classic will see all members of Nike Golf's Tour staff playing the event including Paul Casey, Seung Yul Noh, Simon Dyson and Thorbjorn Olesen wearing the next generation of its best selling shirt, the Victory Polo in the first round.

The Victory Polo, from Nike Golf's 2013 spring/summer apparel range, is an update of the fastest selling polo shirt worldwide for the leading golf apparel company in the world.

Twenty years ago, Nike introduced the NikeFIT System of material technologies, becoming the first of its kind and transforming athletic apparel into an athlete's competitive advantage. As a result, Nike athletes have broken world records, won Olympic Gold medals, won major championship titles and World Cup Championships wearing the advanced technical fabrics.

"When Nike brought Dri-FIT into golf, trust me, it was welcome," said Nike athlete Tiger Woods. "Before that it was cotton. Heavy cotton just sagged on you. It didn't feel very good. For me I was always tugging on my shirt trying to get it to fit, it just never did. With Dri-FIT, it keeps me cool and because of the stretch in the fabric, it moves with you and doesn't hold you back."

Nike's Dri-FIT technology, first developed for running at Nike, is a moisture-wicking performance fabric that is lightweight and less restrictive. Dri-FIT technology dries more quickly and promotes moisture management, while preventing clinging to the skin. It moves perspiration from your skin to the outside for rapid evaporation.

The Victory polo is available now in 23 colourways and retails at £29.99, €50.00, 500 SEK.
