Tried & Tested: Cleveland Golf CG16 wedge
by Carly Cummins
July 14, 2011

Cleveland Golf CG16 wedgeWith all the panic about the groove rule changing, very little has been mentioned about the performance of the new wedges that have come on the market in 2011, but having been testing the new Cleveland CG16 wedge for the past few months I can honestly say the performance is every bit as good as the predecessor, the CG15, if not better.

When it comes to speciality wedges ladies often lose out and are forced to make do with a wedge that is too heavy and cumbersome. Not so with the new Cleveland Golf CG16. The ladies option has a lightweight graphite shaft, the perfect weight balance in the head and a soft Winn grip that offers plenty of feedback and feel on those all-important touch shots.

It’s available in three loft choices: gap wedge (52°) sand wedge (56°) and lob wedge (60°), all priced at £105. www.clevelandgolf.com
