FootJoy DryJoys- Shoes that don't need lacing!
by Carly Cummins
December 08, 2011

I'm excited to say that FootJoy has finally brought out a version of their popular ladies DryJoys shoes that features the innovative BOA Lacing System - a shoe that does up at the turn of a dial rather than by hand with laces.

I've been curious to try these quirky shoes out since they introduced them to the men's market a couple of season ago and now I finally can. The idea behind the BOA Lacing System is to get a very precise fit. One click of the dial on the back of the shoe equates to roughly one millimetre of lace pull, resulting in a superior glove-like fit. The BOA Lace has is manufactured from aircraft-grade stainless steel, twisted into bundles that are then woven into other bundles, making it gram for gram stronger than tank armour. All of this means that the shoe fits like a glove. Price: £100, www.footjoy.co.uk
