They say: Heaven is the first golf shoe system that focuses on what is decisive to improve your handicap - stance and balance. The idea behind the novel Dynamic Balance Technology comes from Hermann Oberschneider. As a co-owner of MBT (Masai Barefoot Technology) the Austrian amazed the shoe world. With Heaven he has launched the first golf shoe system on the market that is able to actively support golf players of all classes in improving their performance. The patented sole construction made by Heaven gives the golf player a permanent feedback on their balance. They are centred and reach a stable and balanced position, thus having an optimum basis for their golf swing and helping them to score with the best technology at their disposal.

I say: The first thing that strikes you about the Heaven golf shoe are the very unusual looks. They remind me of the very first 'air sole' trainers that appeared in sports shops many years ago. They were one of those products that instantly captured your attention and you simply had to try on and see what they felt like. Well the Heaven certainly does feel totally different to wear. It forces you to find your 'centre' with your balance to put your foot into a starting position at set-up that is really stable and grounded - not like any other shoe you will have worn before. This is quite a strange sensation at first and even stranger to get used to walking in them, but after a couple of holes you will have adjusted and in fact the shoe becomes very comfortable. It definitely reminded me of those trainers with the 'air' soles that give you the sensation of bouncing along. The Heaven shoe is only available in white at the moment (not ideal for muddy winter golf) but come the spring they will definitely be turning heads on the first tee when I stride on! I never thought I'd find myself recommending to lady golfers that they spent £200 on a pair of golf shoes but in the case of the Heaven shoe I really do think it is worth the expense. Just think of it as like buying that designer pair of stilettos - they are extravagant and a real treat but you love wearing them as they turn heads and feel amazing. I think that perhaps the biggest plaudit for the Heaven golf shoe of all is the fact that it has won two awards this year - the red dot award for product design 2013 and the New Golf Award 2013 (given to the newest and most exciting product in the golfing world). Say no more.
