They say: Cocoa Brown by Marissa Carter is a self-tan mousse that develops into a beautiful, natural-looking tan in just 1 hour!

This revolutionary and first-of-a-kind tanning formulation combines hi-tech accelerating agents, which are activated upon contact with skin and speed up the tan's development, to deliver a rich, cocoa brown tan.

Cocoa Brown's luxurious formula really does glide over your skin on application - the mousse is floral fragranced, light-weight, fast drying, non-sticky and gives streak-free results that lasts up to five days.

I say: As all lady golfers know, no matter how much sun protection cream you apply in the summer months, if you are playing a lot of golf you invariably end up with those horrible golfer's tan lines! It's fine while you are in your golf clothes but the moment you take that sleeveless t-shirt off and are left with that silly tanned 'v' around your neck line, brown arms and a white body, not to mention those comedy white feet, you can look pretty silly at the beach.

So I was excited to try out this new tanning product to see whether I could even up those awkward white spots. I followed Marissa Carter's tanning tips (see below) and the results were amazing. I was worried I would over-do it and look like the 'you've been tangoed' lady but this tan really does look very natural and isn't too dark. It was easy to apply and spread evenly across the skin without looking streaky at all.

It comes with a tan mitt which you must make sure you wear when you apply the tan so that you don't end up with dark brown palms! This made the whole application process very simple and the fact that this is a mousse means that it is lovely and light on your skin not leaving you feeling as though your pores are blocked.

The best part is you don't have to lie on an old towel in your bed overnight and wait for the tan to develop, this one works in just one hour. I'd highly recommend it to anyone heading to the beach or on holiday who doesn't want to suffer the shame of the golfer's tan lines and at only £6.99 a bottle it is an awful lot cheaper than going to an expensive salon for a spray tan.

Marissa Carter is a household name in Ireland, regarded as one of the top, most respected and well-known beauty experts in the country. Here are her Top 5 Tanning Tips:

* Key to achieving the perfect sunless tan is skin preparation. In the 3 days leading up to your tan application exfoliate once a day and moisturise your body twice a day.

* I recommend a quick shower half an hour before you apply tan so that skin is squeaky clean and free from any lotions, potions or perfumes before application.

* Apply an oil-free moisturiser to hands, feet, elbows and knees to ensure the tan develops flawlessly on these areas.

* A light application of petroleum jelly through eyebrows guarantees tan won't stick to the hairs and leave tell-tale fake tan signs.

* One of the most important tips for fake tan application is to use a Tan Mitt to apply. It will prevent tan from staining palms and buffs the tan into skin creating a natural, even tan.
