Jim Furyk won the Tour Championship and with it collected 2,500 points to win the fourth annual FedEx Cup, joining past winners Tiger Woods (2007, 2009) and Vijay Singh (2008). Furyk finished with 2,980 points, while Matt Kuchar tied for 25th in the 30-man field, earning just 228 points to finish second with a total of 2,728 points.
In addition to the $1.35 million first-place prize for winning the Tour Championship, Furyk also collected $10 million for winning the FedEx Cup, with Kuchar earning a $3 million bonus.
Second place in the Tour Championship moved Luke Donald up to third in the standings and he picked up an extra $2 million.
