Round 2, Round 3, Round 4

Lexi Thompson took a 1-shot lead at Tiburรณn Golf Club on Thursday. She started her round with five birdies on the first seven holes and made three more on the back nine. Her round was marred by a single bogey at the ninth for a 7-under 65, her lowest score of the year.

''I was just overall very happy with how I committed to my shots. 'That's what I've really been working on. I've been working so hard on my game in general trying to improve on it, and it's been kind of an up and down roller coaster with an unfortunate week last week,'' said Thompson referring to her missed cut at the U.S. Women's Open in Houston.

Her confidence was boosted by having brother Curtis, a Korn Ferry Tour player, on her bag this week.

โ€œIt's great. I love hanging out with my brother. We hang out basically every weekend. If we are both at home, we are always playing golf together and joking around. It's great to have him out here. I really appreciate him helping me out and keeping me loose out there. Whether I play good or bad, he always keeps a smile on my face.

โ€œHe basically reads every putt with me. Besides like the short ones. I'll just say -- from like three to five feet I'll just be like, โ€˜not much in it, left center,' and he'll just agree with me. But, yeah, he'll get in there and read every putt with me. It's nice to get reassurance and extra confidence.โ€

Nanna Koerstz Madsen lies a stroke back after a bogey-free 66.

''I was a little shaky on my driver going into the event, and putting as well actually. So now it is always nice to start off with a good round,'' said Koerstz Madsen. ''I don't have any expectations. I just want to go out and play and see if I can do good mentally.''

World number 2 and defending champion Sei Young Kim is tied in third place alongside Caroline Masson and Megan Kang at 67.

Masson made eagle at the par-4 13th with a 9-iron approach shot.

''I had a pretty good number for a 9-iron, a little downwind, and kind of hit the shot I wanted,'' said Masson. ''It pitched on top and just released a little bit. I kind of wasn't really looking anymore because I thought it was good, but I didn't realize it would go in.''
