Haydn Porteous shot a 3-under 69 Sunday to win the Czech Masters by two strokes for his second European Tour title.
Starting two shots behind overnight leader Lee Slattery, the 23-year-old South African birdied six holes in the final round - together with three bogeys - to close at 13-under 275 at the Albatross Golf Resort near Prague.
''To get my second European Tour win under the belt just feels amazing,'' Porteous said.
Porteous won the Joburg Open last year but was struggling since. Last week's top 10 finish at the Made In Denmark event was his first of the season.
''It's been a really torrid time through the last eight, nine months and I've really started doing the right things and slowly but surely the golf has got a little bit better,'' Porteous said.
Second-place Slattery shot a 73 for the Englishman's worst round in the tournament.
In a tight contest, Porteous birdied the first two holes to erase Slattery's lead after the third round, and surged ahead outright for the first time with a birdie on the par-5 No. 9. But Porteous fell back with two straight bogeys on the 10th and 11th, allowing Slattery to return to the top with a birdie on No. 13.
On the par-3 16th, Porteous produced a superb tee shot on the way to another birdie, holding off Slattery who also birdied the hole.
After recording the best final round of 67, another Englishman Tom Lewis was tied for third with Pontus Widegren of Sweden, one shot behind Slattery.
England's James Morrison (70) and Eddie Pepperell (68), Swede Oscar Lengden (68) and Australian Jason Scrivener (69) were tied for fifth on 8 under.
Englishman Lee Westwood had the only eagle of the day on the par-5 12th in his best round (68) to be tied for ninth.
The Czech event marked the beginning of a year-long qualification process for an automatic spot on Europe's team for the 2018 Ryder Cup.

Lee Slattery produced a flawless 5-under 67 at the Czech Masters on Saturday for a two-shot lead over Haydn Porteous of South Africa.
The Englishman opened the third round with his first of five birdies for 12-under 204 overall.
''I hit a couple of loose shots on the front nine early on but hit great chips to follow them up and managed to salvage the pars so it kind of kept a bit of the momentum going,'' said Slattery, who has won two titles on the European Tour.
Porteous also shot 67 for 10-under 206, while Sweden's Pontus Widegren (69) is two shots further back in third.
Second-round leader Chris Hanson and fellow Englishman Jonathan Thomson are tied for fourth on 7 under. Thomson is making his European Tour debut.
Julian Suri of the United States is among a group of five players tied for sixth on 6 under.
Earlier Saturday, Hanson shot a 6-under 66 to take a three-shot lead at the end of a second round that was delayed by heavy rain.
Weather conditions forced the suspension of play on Friday, right after Hanson birdied his first hole.
After the round resumed on Saturday, Hanson added six more birdies and a bogey to finish at 10-under 134. Slattery, who completed the second round with a 7-under 65 before play was suspended, was second.

Lee Slattery overcame heavy rain and cold to shoot a 7-under 65 Friday and take the lead in the second round of the Czech Masters as tough weather conditions forced the suspension of play.
As the others were dropping shots, Slattery ignored the elements and built a lead.
The Englishman opened the back nine with a couple of birdies and added three more starting on No. 13. With another three birdies and a bogey, he finished his round at 7-under 137 overall.
''It's got to be up there, if not the best round (in my career),'' said Slattery, a two-time European Tour winner.
''The only green I missed today was the eighth hole and I hit a great chip to five feet and missed it, and had a three on the first for a par,'' he said. ''So overall, it was a flawless round of golf, 14 fairways and 17 greens because I missed that one green, in this weather it was pretty incredible.''
Dylan Frittelli was one stroke behind after he birdied one of the four holes he managed to complete. Chris Hanson and Pontus Widegren were one shot behind Frittelli after playing one hole.
The second round will restart Saturday morning, with the third round to follow later in the day.
The Czech event marks the beginning of a year-long qualification process for an automatic spot on Europe's team for the 2018 Ryder Cup.

Callum Shinkwin shot an opening 6-under 66 Thursday to take the lead at the Czech Masters.
After finishing second last month at the Scottish Open - his best result on the European Tour so far - the 24-year-old Englishman opened with a birdie at the Albatross Golf Resort near Prague.
Enjoying sunny conditions early in the day that changed to rain later, Shinkwin dropped one shot at the third hole and another on No. 14 but also added seven more birdies for a one-stroke lead.
''It was very good today,'' Shinkwin said. ''My iron play to be fair was probably my strongest part but everything was good, and if everything is good you can't really score bad.''
Pontus Widegren of Sweden, South African Dylan Frittelli and another Englishman James Heath are all tied in second after carding 67. A group of eight, including American Julian Suri who won the Made in Denmark event on Sunday, is one stroke behind them.
Paul Peterson of the United States opened the defense of his title with a 3-under 69.
Starting on the back-nine, Eddie Pepperell eagled the par-5 No. 12 and added four birdies to join fellow Englishman Shinkwin at the top of the leaderboard before falling back with a couple of double-bogeys on the front nine to finish with 69.
The Czech event marks the beginning of a year-long qualification process for an automatic spot on Europe's team for the 2018 Ryder Cup.
