Hazeltine National Golf Club, Chaska, Minnesota
$3,850,000
Round 1, Round 2, Round 4

Hannah Green will take a one-shot lead into the final round of the KPMG Women's PGA Championship as she goes in search of her first LPGA title.

The Australian began the day three shots ahead of her closest challenger, Ariya Jutanugarn, and maintained her lead for the third straight day after shooting a third-round 70 and moving to nine under par for the tournament.

She opened her penultimate round at Hazeltine National, Minnesota, with three straight pars before hitting three birdies over the next four holes and another on the 15th. She recorded her second bogey of the tournament on the par-three 13th and suffered a three-putt bogey at the final hole.

The 22-year-old admitted the final round would be a big day for her, but believed she would be able to control her nerves.

"Obviously it's my first time in this position so I feel like I will be a little bit nervous come tomorrow, but I think when I have more time to wait in between shots that's when I started to feel the nerves and I was like, OK, my heart is beating," she told the LPGA website.

"I think I need to just slow things down and take my time and make sure I'm not rushing into any shots."

Two-time major winner Jutanugarn, from Thailand, closed the gap after signing for a solid 68 in round three, recording back-to-back birdies through holes three and four and seven and eight.

She dropped shots on the 13th and 16th but completed her round with a birdie-par finish to get to eight under overall.

Americans Lizette Salas and Nelly Korda are tied in third at five under, while defending champion Sung Hyun Park, of South Korea, sits in fifth place alongside compatriot Sei Young Kim at four under.

England's Mel Reid, who tumbled down the leaderboard after a second-round 76, improved on day three to card a 71 and sit among compatriot Georgia Hall (70) and American Annie Park (71) in a tie for 23rd place.

Meanwhile, Scotland's Gemma Dryburgh is two over par for the tournament after mixing two birdies with four bogeys for a round of 73 and dropping into joint 33rd.
