Demand from fans led to a record number of advanced tickets being sold within 24 hours of going on sale, surpassing the mark set earlier this year for Royal Portrush, and it is hoped that the venue attendance record of 183,000 at Royal St Georgeโ€™s will be bettered next year.

Early season ticket prices are available until midday on Friday, 5 July and fans can book their place at the famous Kent links by purchasing tickets via TheOpen.com, provided they are members of The One Club.

Membership of The One Club guarantees priority access to tickets and is free to join by registering via TheOpen.com/The-One-Club. ย

Neil Armit, Chief Commercial Officer at The R&A, said, โ€œWe have experienced record-breaking sales for Royal St Georgeโ€™s which underlines the level of excitement among fans about the return of The Open to Kent for the first time in almost a decade.

โ€œWe expect that tickets will remain in high demand and we want to ensure that fans are aware that they can take advantage of early season prices until the end of this week.โ€

Early season prices are available for Weekly Tickets, Daily Tickets and Weekend Bundles. A limited number of Weekend Bundle tickets remain after proving very popular with fans.

Children under the age of 16 will continue to be able to attend The Open free of charge under the Kids Go Free initiative provided they are accompanied by an adult guardian who has secured a junior ticket in advance from TheOpen.com. ย

Fans under the age of 25 will be able to save as much as 50% off the cost of an Adult ticket thanks to reduced price options and they will also benefit from the availability of free accommodation at The Open Camping Village.
