Andres Romero produced a brilliant comeback on day three at Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club to take a one shot lead into the final round of the Omega European Masters.
โI really feel good this week, I have a lot of friends around, I like the golf course very much. I hope that tomorrow I will play on the same level that I did today.โ
The Argentinian had produced the best round of his career on Friday with a 61 but he was sliding down the leaderboard after a bogey and a double in the early stages on Moving Day, before dragging himself back to level par at the turn. He then came home in 31 to sign for a 66 and a 14 under par total.
โAfter a lot of pressure at the beginning I'm happy with the way I reacted. After the birdie on six I started feeling much better. With the birdies on eight and nine I was feeling OK. The eagle on 14 and birdie on 15 were the real difference."
Romero won his second European Tour title a decade after his first at the 2017 BMW International Open but has had just one top ten since - at this event two years ago.

Australian Wade Ormsby is his nearest challenger at 13 under par after his round of 67, with 2017 Race to Dubai Champion Tommy Fleetwood and Malaysia's Gavin Green one shot further back.
โIt was pretty good, I hung in there early," said Ormsby. "Even though I was two or three under I wasn't hitting too many good shots. On the back nine I definitely struck it a bit better.
โI've been working on the swing. It's not the bit that comes easy to me. Always need to work on the weaker stuff and I'm definitely making inroads there, so I'm looking forward to a good day tomorrow.
โI've rocked up here after a break the last couple of years and haven't played well, so I made sure I played one before, which was Sweden last week, and I played quite nicely. So, I was coming here with high hopes. When you get expectations you normally get shot down, but I always come to these kind of places feeling like I've got an opportunity.โ
World Number Two Rory McIlroy's bogey-bogey finish saw him drop back to three shots off the lead at 11 under par, alongside South African Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Italy's Lorenzo Gagli and Finn Kalle Samooja, whose round of 62 is his European Tour best.
โI don't know what happened," said McIlroy. "Felt a little flat out there, a little tired. Maybe it just all caught up with me. Looking forward to getting to bed early and getting a good night's sleep.

โI played pretty solid, obviously made those mistakes coming in. If I go out and play a good front nine tomorrow I'll be right in it. If I get off to a good start, especially how tough those first four holes are playing, if I can play those in a couple under I'll be right there.
โI would love to win here, I just didn't quite have it today in the way that I did the previous days, especially yesterday with that finish. I need to gather myself, get rested up and put everything I have into tomorrow.โ
Italian Renato Paratore hit the 25 th hole in one of the season at the 13 th in his round of 67 to sit at 10 under par, alongside Major winner Sergio Garcia, Matthias Schwab of Austria and Sweden's Sebastian Soderberg.
