Robert Streb takes lead with 63

Robert Streb made birdie on his last two holes to match his career low score with a 9-under 63 on the Plantation course at Sea Island. He takes a two shot lead over Camilo Villegas into the weekend with a 1-under 128.

The last four winners at the RSM Classic have all held the 36-hole lead.

“I don't want to be the one that breaks it,” said Streb. “There's still a lot of golf left, and we'll see what happens.”


Villegas salvaged an errant tee shot that hit a cart path on the 18th with a 9-iron over the water to close with an eagle for a 66 and stay in contention.

Bronson Burgoon also fired a 63 to tie with Sea Island resident Patton Kizzire (66) for third place at 11-under.


Kevin Kisner, another Sea Island resident and former champion who played the Seaside course, shot 66 to tie for 8th.
