Proudly supported once again by Silver Key Developments, the tournament is one of the highlights of The PGA in England Southโ€™s schedule, and with an inviting ยฃ25,000 prize fund, itโ€™s filling up fast.

Hosted on the championship New Course at Burhill Golf Club, each team is comprised of one PGA Professional and three male or female amateur golfers. Teams of three are invited to enter the 18-hole fourball better-ball event, with entry fees costing ยฃ600 per team or ยฃ450 per team for Burhill members.

Last year, the inaugural Burhill Pro-Am saw four players, including Burhillโ€™s own James Winstanley, tie for the Professionalโ€™s title while Royal Wimbledonโ€™s Jack Stevenson claimed the first bonus shootout prize.

Top professionals from the across the country will once again compete for the ยฃ15,000 first prize this year; one of the biggest cheques of the year on the PGA England South schedule.

The Pro-Am begins with a shotgun start at 11am, followed by the showpiece Nearest The Pin Shootout at the par-three 18th in front of the Georgian mansion clubhouse.

Every PGA Professional takes part, with each player allowed just one attempt and the player hitting their ball closest to the pin going home with a ยฃ5,000 cash bonus prize.

Neil Everest, Chairman of Silver Key Developments Ltd, commented: โ€œIt is an honour to sponsor an event at such a wonderful and prestigious Golf Club.

โ€œOur aim was always to create the best and most relaxed Pro-Am event on the PGA circuit with the largest prize fund with an element of spectacle to set us apart from other Pro-Ams. The day finishes up with a gourmet barbeque on the terrace overlooking the dramatic shootout on the 18th green and culminates with the prize giving ceremony.โ€

Speaking about hosting the event for a second year Dubravka Griffiths, Burhill Golf Clubโ€™s General Manager, commented: โ€œIโ€™m delighted that we are running the Pro-Am again. It was such a success last year, filled with drama and excitement, so Iโ€™m looking forward to welcoming all the professional and amateur players to Burhill once again.

โ€œWe are expecting another great response to the Pro-Am and with many top PGA Professionals signed up it will be an unmissable experience. It would not have been possible without the support of Silver Key Developments, so we are very thankful to them.โ€
