heading into the final round of the Cognizant Classic.<\/p>\n<p>American Austin Eckroat is alongside them on 13-under-par at the PGA National in Florida \u2013 three clear of the chasing pack.<\/p>\n<p>Former Open champion Lowry is looking for his third PGA Tour victory, while Skinns is yet to finish in the top 10 on the PGA Tour.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Highlights | Round 3 | Cognizant Classic | 2024\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/onEME7COZlU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Lowry said he enjoys the \u201ctough golf\u201d after rain and wind made conditions difficult.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI like when everything is on the line a lot out there,\u201d Lowry said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel like I just know how to play the golf course<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GolfTodayUK\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">.<\/a> I feel like I\u2019ve figured it out<a href=\"https:\/\/golftoday.co.uk\/sdc-championship-2024-r3-connor-syme-joins-daniel-brown-at-the-top-of-the-leaderboard\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">.<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Skinns hit five birdies without a blemish while Lowry mixed six birdies with a bogey.<\/p>\n<p>Among five players three shots off the pace are Scotland\u2019s Martin Laird \u2013 who hit seven birdies in a third-round 66 \u2013 and Australian Min Woo Lee.<\/p>\n<p>Rory McIlroy, who started the day tied with Lowry and Skinns, dropped six shots off the pace with a 72.<\/p>\n<p>The winner of the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches will earn a spot in all five remaining Signature Events (if a nonmember, they must accept membership after the win), while other Tour members are fighting for spots in the Aon Next 10 and the Aon Swing 5 to earn a place in the field at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard.<\/p>\n<div id=\"content_link_1249743\" class=\"ct-div-block
