Play has been suspended at Wentworth during round two of the BMW PGA Championship<\/a><\/strong><\/span> due to a threat of lightning.<\/p>\n

With the majority of the afternoon groups yet to head out, the delay looks to last for at least an hour as stormy weather<\/a><\/strong><\/span> makes headway from the south coast.<\/p>\n

Leader Matthew Baldwin headed back to the clubhouse at 12-under through 16, while Thriston Lawrence, Billy Horschel and Andy Sullivan trail by four shots at 4-under.<\/p>\n

Englishman Aaron Rai joins Antoine Rozner and Tommy Fleetwood at 7-under, with Marcus Armitage, Dan Bradbury and Joe Dean at 6-under.<\/p>\n

Some of the big names yet to tee off for the second round include Rory McIlroy (-5), Shane Lowry (-5), Robert McIntyre (-5), and Justin Rose (-3).<\/p>\n

With lightening strikes being recorded in Surrey and West London, the DP World Tour has preemptively called play to a halt, for the safety of players and fans alike. And, although the sun is shining through, there will be no golf played until further notice.<\/p>\n
