Matteo Manassero stormed into the BMW PGA Championship lead with a flawless 63 featuring an eagle at the par-5 4th and three consecutive birdies from the 16th.<\/p>\n

The Italian reached an 18-under 198 total, the lowest 54-hole score to par in the event’s history, to lead by three shots.<\/p>\n

After losing his Tour card for five years<\/strong><\/a> Manassero stepped away from the game before returning via the Challenge Tour and won his fourth title at the Jonsson Workwear Open in March.<\/p>\n
