Got off to a good start. Was able to get that groove with my driver and found a lot of fairways,&#8221; said Pendrith.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;From there, I had a lot of good numbers today. Feel like we had the same number a few times and I was able to hit some close wedges. Made a lot of putts inside ten feet. Everything was on and it was nice to &#8212; would&#8217;ve liked to birdie the last or make eagle, but I&#8217;m still very, very pleased.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Highlights | Round 1 | Shriners Children&#039;s Open | 2024\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8Tjk1tneBs0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Ten players are currently tied in second place at 7-under. American Joseph Bramlett carded his low round of the season (72 rounds) and recorded his 19th bogey-free round on the PGA Tour. Englishman Harry Hall notched his 13th consecutive under-par round at TPC Summerlin.<\/p>\n<p>American Joel Dahmen (+5\/131) received a four-stroke penalty when it was discovered on the fourth tee that he had more than 14 clubs in his bag.<\/p>\n<p>Play was suspended due to darkness at 6:13 p.m. PT with nine players yet to finish. The first round is scheduled to resume at 8:10 a.m.<br \/>\nThe second round is scheduled to begin on time at 6:55 a.m.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">*<\/p>\n<p>The 2024 Shriners Children\u2019s Open is the fourth event of the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/golftoday.co.uk\/fedex-cup-fall-standings-41-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>FedExCup Fall<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, a group of eight tournaments played after the <a href=\"https:\/\/golftoday.co.uk\/fedex-cup-standings-35-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Tour Championship<\/span><\/strong><\/a> that finalizes eligibility for the 2025 PGA TOUR Season.<\/p>\n<p>The Aon Next 10 is an eligibility pathway to earn access into Signature Events (outside of The Sentry), recognizing the top 10 players, not otherwise exempt, from the FedExCup standings.
