December 11-12
Tiburรณn Golf Course, Naples, Florida
$3,600,000
Round 1, Round 2

Matt Kuchar and Harris English fired ten birdies and an eagle at the 17th to close with a final round 60 in better-ball format at Tiburรณn Golf Club.

โ€œIt's hard to fathom just how good of golf that was," said Kuchar. "It's funny, as a player you stay in the moment pretty well and don't think too much about it.โ€

โ€œThe show Harris put on on the back nine was just awesome. I think he pulled me aside after 14 and said, 'I think we need two shots to set the new mark.โ€ฒ I said,We've got four chances.โ€ฒ And he went ahead and went birdie-eagle-birdie to close it out. It was fun to watch.โ€

They are the first team to win the tournament three times finishing at 37-under 179 winning by nine strokes, beating their record of seven and beating the mark of 34 they set in 2013.

โ€œI didn't want to put too much thought into us having a five-shot lead coming in today,โ€ said English. โ€œI kind of wanted to put more into seeing what we could do, trying to break the record.โ€

Five other players have won the Shootout three times, Fred Couples, Steve Elkington, Brad Faxon, Scott McCarron and Kenny Perry.

Defending champions Rory Sabbatini and Kevin Tway played nine birdies and an eagle to close with a 61 and finish tied for second place at 28-under.

Alongside them are rookies Lanto Griffin and Mackenzie Hughes, eight birdies and an eagle at the 14th to close with a 62; as well as Kevin Na and Sean O'Hair who fired eight birdies for a 64.
