December 10-13
Cypress Creek & Jackrabbit courses
Champions Golf Club, Houston, Texas
$5,500,000
Round 1, Round 2, Round 3

A Lim Kim closed her final round with three consecutive birdies to win in her first appearance at the U.S. Women's Open, tying the record for the largest combeback.

Kim started her round tied for ninth at 1-over, five shots behind leader Hinako Shibuno. She made three birdies on the front nine to make the turn in 33 but suffered a setback with back-to-back bogeys on the 10th and 11th before closing with three birdies for a 4-under 67 to finish the tournament at 3-under.

Kim is the seventh player to come back from a five shot deficit in the final round of the U.S. Women's Open, Annika Sorenstam did it last at The Broadmoor in 1995.

Amy Olson was hoping for her first win this weekend but had to cope with the sudden loss of her father-in-law on Saturday night. She started her round with three bogeys and two bogeys then parred her way through the course taking a two-shot lead on the back nine after Shibuno lost ground.

Olson found the rough at the 16th however and made bogey. A birdie on the final hole was not enough to compete with Kim's late charge and she finished tied for second place alongside Jin Young Ko.

World number 1 Ko closed with a 68 and was one of only six players to break par on Monday.

Shibuno made five bogeys and only two birdies and closed with a 74 to finish in fourth place at 1-under.
