Round 1, Round 2, Round 3

Sei Young Kim has won her second straight title at the Pelican Women's Championship closing with a 70 for a 14-under 266.

Kim, who won the KPMG Women's PGA Championship in October, is the first player to follow up her first major victory with another win since Ariya Jutanugarn won the Women's British Open and CP Women's Open back-to-back in 2016.

"Always after win always got the extra confidence, so when I play, standing on the golf course, it feels very happy when I walk on the course," said Kim. "It's really great."

Kim took a break after her win at Aronimink and returned home to Korea.

"After the tournament I just want to relax and then feel fresh, make myself feel fresh, so don't think about golf. Just fun thing to do."

Ally McDonald, who won her first title at the Drive On Championship-Reynolds Lake Oconee in Georgia last month, came in second three shots behind Kim.

“Once we got to a point, I just tried to take Sei Young out of it and play a little tournament within the rest of the field. She got out to such a big lead on the last few holes,” said McDonald. “I'm really happy with how I played, made some great up and downs. That shot on 18, for me, is probably one of the best shots I've ever hit, just under the circumstances and everything. So I'm really pleased. Obviously following a win to get another second and be in contention, that's all I can ask for.”

Stephanie Meadow recorded a final-round 69 to finish third. The result ties her career-best performance at the 2014 U.S. Women's Open.

“I think just a lot of hard work paying off. Obviously it's important to thank everyone that has gotten me here. It's not just me. There is a huge team behind me. My fiancé, my coaches, Terry, Debby, my sports psych who is amazing,” said Meadow. “It has been a long journey, but a great one and you learn so much about yourself. Golf is one of those things where you always feel like you can do better, but I'm pretty satisfied where I'm at right now.”

World number 1 Jin Young Ko tied for 34th after a 71 in her first LPGA Tour event of the year. She has been number 1 for the last 68 weeks but has stayed home in South Korea since the pandemic and Kim is close to overtaking her.

"It means a lot because world ranking No. 1 is my wish list in this year, so that's my biggest goal in this year," said Kim. "Before Olympic gold medal was my biggest goal in this year, but it cancel. Might be next year."
