$1 million prize for Perfect Lineup Challenge

August 14, 2018

Perfection does have its rewards, and in the case of the PGA TOUR's new fantasy game for the 2018 FedExCup Playoffs, the reality is a $1 million payout.

The PGA TOUR is introducing the Perfect Lineup Challenge, with the goal being to select the top four fantasy point scorers in each of the four FedExCup Playoffs events: THE NORTHERN TRUST (August 23-26; Dell Technologies Championship (August 31-September 3); BMW Championship (September 6-9); and the TOUR Championship (September 20-23). Succeed, and become an instant millionaire.

To participate, registration is required on PGATOUR.COM and the PGA TOUR app between now and August 23, three hours before play begins at THE NORTHERN TRUST. Registered participants then choose six starters for each FedExCup Playoffs event, with the top four performers counting toward their fantasy total.

The Perfect Lineup Challenge is based on fantasy points that are gained or lost on each shot a player hits during the four tournaments. In addition to hole-by-hole and round-by-round scoring, points are based primarily on distance, proximity to the hole and efficiency.

For example, points are awarded for drives of various distances that hit the fairway but deducted for missing the fairway. Points are awarded for approaches of various distances that end up within 10 feet, 10-20 feet or 20-40 feet from the hole, but deducted for missing the green. On the green, points are awarded or deducted for number of putts taken from within 5 feet, 5-15 feet, 15-25 feet or over 25 feet from the hole. There are penalties for hitting into a water hazard or out of bounds, as well as ways to earn bonus points.

A full rundown of the scoring system is available at: https://fantasygolf.pgatour.com/#/roster/rules-pcl .

If no one correctly guesses the top four scorers in all four FedExCup Playoffs events, the overall winner will receive a Titleist driver valued at $499.99. Second place earns is a Scotty Cameron putter valued at $349.99.

Additionally, anyone who participates in all four events will receive a special promo code for TeeOff.com by PGA TOUR , the official tee time site of the PGA TOUR, following the TOUR Championship.
