Tiger Woods scored his second point of the Presidents Cup to keep the United States within three points of the International team.

The International team extended their overnight lead at Royal Melbourne to 5-1 after they won the opening match of day two's foursomes.

At one stage, the US were behind in all five matches, but a late rally - including captain Woods and his partner Justin Thomas completing a one-up victory over An Byeong-hun and Hideki Matsuyama - keeps them in contention.

Rickie Fowler and Gary Woodland halved the final match of the day against Im Sung-jae and Cameron Smith to leave the score at 6ยฝ-3ยฝ.
