Golf GPS specialist SkyCaddie has created its first three Masterclass videos to help serious golfers and PGA Professionals become ‘super-users’ of its next-generation GPS technology, which offers a host of advantages over laser and yardage books.
The videos are being promoted by the PGA, which is using SkyCaddie pin information in all of its 2021 national tournaments.
SkyCaddie pin information will also be available in 2021 for all competitors on the recently-renamed Legends Tour, with other prominent Tours also set to follow suit later this year.
The three Masterclass videos can be seen on YouTube:
They use well-known golf holes to demonstrate how good golfers can save time and shots by using the brand’s new technology like a Tour player would.
Three key SkyCaddie features are highlighted. Each helps technology-aware golfers to plan the hole ahead.
SkyCaddie Masterclass 1 (75 seconds, San Lorenzo 8th) shows how the IntelliPath feature, exclusively available on SkyCaddie’s ‘Tourbook’ SX400 and SX500 handhelds, gives you essential runout and carry yardages which are impossible to get with a laser.

SkyCaddie Masterclass 2 (69 seconds, Wentworth West Course 14th) shows how to use SkyCaddie’s exclusive IntelliGreen feature to plan your shot to the green ahead, including blind spots and major green contours – instantly giving you information normally only available from a tour caddie.

SkyCaddie Masterclass 3 (93 seconds, The Oxfordshire 17th) shows that if you are laying up, nothing beats a SkyCaddie – especially when you don’t have ideal line of sight. In seconds, your SkyCaddie does the layup maths for you.

More Masterclass videos are due to follow later in 2021.
SkyCaddie’s Tourbook handhelds SX400 and SX500 plus its LX5 and LX5C GPS Watches are currently available at up to £50 off in a promotion which has been extended to 17 January 2021.
