Round 1, Round 3
James Kingston and David Shacklady will share a one shot lead heading into the final round of the Druh Belts presents Paris Legends Championship by Renault Z.E. after a dramatic finish to day two at Racing Club de France la Boulie.
Englishman Shacklady has put himself into contention for back-to-back Staysure Tour titles after a spectacular second round of six under par 66, which included eight birdies, to head into the final day in a share of the lead on nine under par alongside South African Kingston.
The Sinclair Invitational winner is looking to follow in the footsteps of defending champion Gary Orr by securing consecutive victories on the over 50s circuit at the Paris Legends Championship after his one shot triumph at Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club three weeks ago.
โโI obviously played well last time around at Hanbury Manor,โโ Shacklady said. โโI didnโt quite feel as good when I arrived this week, a little bit tired, but Iโve hit it really nice today and putted well. Iโm constantly working on my game. When you are playing well that is when you really should be working because then you know what youโre doing right.

โโGetting the win at Hanbury Manor gives me a lot of confidence. Iโve gradually improved through the summer. I feel like Iโm comfortable being where I am and Iโm comfortable being at the top. It is patience really and it is lovely when youโre playing well, and you donโt have to push. Thatโs when you find that you can play your best.โโ
Meanwhile, Kingston carded three birdies in his final three holes to sign for a five under par round of 67 and is in the mix to secure his first Staysure Tour title. The two-time European Tour winner, who has twice finished runner-up this season, covered his final ten holes in five under par to again put himself into contention to secure his maiden over 50โs victory.
The pair will be joined in the final group by Jean-Franรงois Remรฉsy, who matched the low round of the week, a six under par round of 66, as he looks to go one better than his runner-up finish in this event twelve months ago. The Frenchman will begin his final round one shot clear of two-time Senior Major winner Roger Chapman, who posted a five under par 67.
Overnight leader Thomas Levet kept his dream of winning at his childhood club alive after a mixed round of 71, one under par, which included five birdies and four bogeys, to sit three shots off the lead on six under par, alongside Englandโs Peter Baker.
The leading pair will get their third round started at 10:28am local time, alongside Remรฉsy, with the final round getting under way at 9:00am.
