August 27-30
Olympia Fields CC (North), Olympia Fields, Illinois
$9,500,000
Round 1, Round 2, Round 3

Jon Rahm closed the tournament with a 64, the lowest round of the week, on a course that played like the toughest test in golf. His only bogey at the weekend came when he picked up his ball and forgot to mark it. He held the clubhouse lead and was on the range when Dustin Johnson made a 45-foot birdie to force a playoff.

Shortly after Rahm rolled his own putt from one end of the 18th green 66 feet down the ridge straight into the cup.

''I still can't believe what just happened,'' he said. "I knew how good DJ has been playing. I was expecting nothing else," Rahm said. "I was fully confident it was going to come into a playoff and hoping to win it. Never did I think I would make another 50-, 60-footer, a couple of breaks in there, to end up winning it."

Johnson holds on to No.1 in the FedEx Cup standings while Rahm moves up to No.2 heading in to the TOUR Championship.

Joaquin Niemann, from Chile, closed with a 67 and held the lead until a bogey on the 14th slowed his momentum. He finished tied for third with Hideki Matsuyama but made it into the top 30.

Tiger Woods double bogeyed on the 17th and closed with a 71, his first time over par in all four rounds of a tournament since 2010 and will miss the TOUR Championship for the second straight year.
