Wesley Bryan, playing on a sponsor exemption, finished eagle-birdie-birdie to follow-up a career-low 18-hole score 63 with a 6-under 66 in the second round of the Corales Puntacana Championship.
At 15-under 129, Bryan posted the tournament 36-hole scoring record by two shots. 129 marks his low opening 36-hole score on Tour.
“It was a little touch and go there for a second, a few holes kind of got away from me, but all in all, really strong finish at the end to post a pretty good number.”
Justin Lower fired ten birdies for a career-best 64, unfortunately marred by two bogeys, and matched the tournament record for most birdies to move into second place at 14-under.
Greyson Sigg shot a 65 to move into third place at 11-under.
Kevin Tway, the only player still bogey-free through 36 holes, is tied in fourth place at 10-under alongside Bill Haas (65), Charley Hoffman (68) and Pierceson Coody (67).
