Eight LIV Golfers confirmed for the BMW PGA Championship

A host of LIV Golfers will tee it up at Wentworth for the DPWT’s flagship event

Euro euphoria and USA's fizzling finish

The BMW PGA Championship is the flagship event on the DPWT, and this year, several of the LIV Golf contingent will be teeing it up at Wentworth.

With the Ryder Cup just four weeks away, Luke Donald will be expecting all of his team to feature at the tournament in a bid to get one last look before Bethpage Black.

Of course, this means the likes of Tommy Fleetwood, Rory McIlroy, and Justin Rose will be looking to impress before leading the European charge in New York at the end of the month.

Legion XIII stars Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton will also be teeing it up in Surrey, especially as it represents the final chance of fine-tuning their games before the Ryder Cup.

Who else from the breakaway tour will be playing at the tournament, however?

The LIV Golf stars who will hope to shine at the BMW PGA Championship

Dean Burmester

The South African claimed his second LIV Golf victory a few weeks ago with a playoff win over Jose Ballester and Rahm in Chicago.

He finished the season fifth overall in the individual rankings and heads to Wentworth in good form.

This will be his seventh appearance at the event.

Patrick Reed

Patrick Reed has already committed to the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at the start of October, and he will tee it up at Wentworth for the first time.

Reed enjoyed a solid 2025 campaign, finishing seventh in the standings while tasting victory in Dallas.

The 2018 Masters champion proved that he still has the game to challenge at the majors by securing an impressive third-place finish at Augusta earlier this year.

Tom McKibbin

McKibbin will play in the BMW PGA Championship for the third time, and it comes off a relatively poor LIV Golf season.

Indeed, he failed to win a single event, finishing the year 20th in the standings. Last year at Wentworth, the Northern Irishman finished T10. Could he do even better in a few weeks?

Adrian Meronk

Meronk won the first LIV Golf event of the 2025 season, yet has failed to challenge since.

The Pole failed to make a single major start either, and compared to where he was prior to this event two years ago, Meronk’s stock has dropped considerably.

He has made three appearances at the BMW PGA, with a high finish of T28 coming in 2023.

Joaquin Niemann

Niemann came so close to winning the 2025 LIV Golf individual title, but lost out to Rahm by just 2.48 points in a dramatic finale.

He won five times across the regular season, yet due to the points system, the Spaniard won because of his greater consistency throughout 2025.

The Chilean will be teeing it up at Wentworth for the first time.

Thomas Pieters

Pieters knows what it’s like to play and win on the DPWT, claiming victory six times since turning professional.

He has made nine previous experiences at Wentworth, yet finished in the top ten only once in that span.

Following a decent 2025 LIV Golf season, can the Belgian make a statement at the BMW PGA this year?
