Newly independent hotel The Dilly, launches a first for the central London hotel scene with a new addition to its health club – the Golfzon simulator, an indoor-golf experience, voted the ‘World’s Best Golf Simulator’ five years running by Golf Digest.
This new experience is available for both guests and visitors, offering virtual access to over 200 of the world’s premier golf courses, including St Andrews Old Course, Celtic Manor, Pebble Beach and more with extraordinary CGI graphics creating the realistic golf simulation experience. In addition, Golfzon technology features a multitude of sensors and cameras that analyse ball flight data in real-time, to help improve the golfer’s swing and game.
The Dilly’s General Manager and keen golfer, James Olivier says, “Whether you are an avid golfer or looking for an alternative after work social for friends or colleagues, the Golfzon simulator is highly sophisticated, easy to use and fun. We are very proud to introduce this to Londoners and our in-house guests, which allows players to enjoy a round of golf and/or work on their game, in the heart of central London, all year round, whatever the weather.”
Up to twelve people can join the golf experience, with up to six people at a time playing a multi-player traditional round, or alternatively mix it up with a game of Skins. Two hours is recommended for groups of six-plus, as only six players can compete individually at any one time in each game type.
Golf at The Dilly offers the use of high-quality Titleist clubs and provides the golf balls – golfers can bring their own clubs if they prefer. Health Club at The Dilly also includes one of London’s largest indoor hotel swimming pools, two squash courts and a dance studio where guests can learn Smooth, Latin and/or Ballroom from world-class teachers.
After a round of golf, players can relax at one of The Dilly’s drinking and dining establishments. Downstairs at The Dilly just launched in March 2022, an intimate speakeasy piano bar with cosy seating, London curated cocktails and live music played on a bespoke Baby Grand piano – literally downstairs from the hotel’s lobby. Dining options include the Terrace at The Dilly which offers locally sourced London cuisine in a botanical oasis overlooking London’s West End. Alternatively, Madhu’s at The Dilly is set in the hotel’s grand Oak Room – one of London’s most famous and impressive banquet rooms – showcasing a fine dining Indian restaurant experience featuring Punjabi cuisine with a Kenyan twist.
