LIV Golf has taken another confident step in reshaping modern sports fandom with the launch of two new digital platforms, LIV Golf Fantasy and LIV X. Created in partnership with Beyond Sports, a Sony Group company, the new offerings signal a continued push to deepen fan engagement across the League’s fast-growing global footprint.

Both platforms are built around a simple idea, bringing fans closer to the action. Through interactive gameplay, intuitive design and easy entry points, LIV Golf is opening the door to both long-time followers and new audiences discovering the sport through the League’s team-based format.

For Beyond Sports, the collaboration marks its first entry into golf, extending its expertise in immersive digital experiences into a new space. For LIV Golf, it reinforces a broader vision of blending elite competition with entertainment, culture and technology to meet fans wherever they follow the game.

The new digital offerings reflect LIV Golf’s wider strategy of innovation, creating experiences that feel native to today’s sports audience while lowering barriers to entry for fans engaging with golf for the first time.

A Fresh Take on Fantasy Golf

At the centre of the launch is LIV Golf Fantasy, a free-to-play competition designed to run across the full season. Unlike traditional fantasy golf formats, scoring is tracked hole-by-hole, keeping fans engaged with every shot and every round.

Flexibility is a defining feature. Fans can join even after the season has begun, with only the best four results from the first six events counting toward the standings. Expert picks, Fantasy Caddie insights and lineup reminders help guide participants, while 15 prizes awarded throughout the season add extra incentive to stay involved.

The platform is accessible across mobile devices and web browsers, making it easy for fans to stay connected wherever the League travels.

Alongside the fantasy game is LIV X, a digital hub designed to turn fans into active participants. The platform features quizzes, daily challenges, event-specific games and live polls that track and rank performances during tournaments.

As fans play, they earn points, level up and unlock tiered rewards through Beyond Sports’ loyalty platform. Rewards range from presale ticket access to professional swing analysis. Personalised content also helps spotlight LIV Golf players and teams, building familiarity and connection throughout the season.

LIV X is powered by Beyond Sports’ newly launched .PLAY division, using its Playbook toolkit to deliver engaging short-form experiences supported by fan data insights.

A Global League With a Digital Focus

Both platforms are now live ahead of the League’s next stop at the HSBC LIV Golf Hong Kong, taking place March 5 to 8 at Hong Kong Golf Club.

The Hong Kong event follows an eventful opening stretch to the season, highlighted earlier this month by Anthony Kim’s emotional return to the winner’s circle at LIV Golf Adelaide.

Now in its fourth full season, LIV Golf features 13 teams and 57 players representing 21 countries, competing across 10 nations and five continents. With headquarters in New York and London, the League continues to innovate on and off the course, blending sport with music, culture and entertainment while reaching nearly one billion households in more than 200 international markets.

That global footprint is also expanding on the broadcast side. In a major development for fans in the United States, LIV Golf has broadened its partnership with Fox Sports for the 2026 season, increasing coverage and accessibility for viewers across the country.

Beyond competition, LIV Golf continues to expand the sport through initiatives such as The International Series, co-sanctioned with the Asian Tour, which provides pathways into the League and the Majors. Through its Impact and Sustainability efforts, the League is also focused on creating long-term value that extends well beyond tournament week.

Additional features for LIV Golf Fantasy are already in development and scheduled for release later in the season. For a League built on challenging convention, the latest digital rollout makes one thing clear: the future of golf fandom is interactive, and LIV Golf intends to be at the forefront.
