LIV Golf will return to South Korea in 2026 with Busan’s Asiad Country Club confirmed as the venue for the league’s Korean tournament from 28 to 31 May.

The event signals a fresh step in LIV Golf’s expansion across Asia. Organisers have agreed a multi-year partnership with Asiad Country Club, bringing one of the country’s most respected championship courses onto the league’s global calendar.

Scott O’Neil, CEO of LIV Golf said:

“Bringing LIV Golf back to Korea, and to Busan for the first time, is an important next step for the league and for our fans here.

“The appetite for LIV Golf continues to grow, and Asiad Country Club, and the city of Busan gives us a venue that meets our ambitions for the event, both competitively and culturally in Korea.

“We’re excited to build on the momentum from our debut last season and deliver another memorable week for Korean fans.”

LIV Golf Korea 2026 confirmed for Busan

Situated in Korea’s second-largest city, the venue is no stranger to major competition. Asiad Country Club has staged high-profile international tournaments including the BMW Ladies Championship and events during the 2002 Asian Games. Its reputation as a demanding championship layout makes it a fitting stage for LIV Golf’s growing presence in the region.

Early demand is anticipated with limited ticket availability. Premium hospitality experiences and corporate packages will be offered alongside discounted group tickets for parties of 10 or more. Children aged 12 and under will receive free grounds admission when accompanied by a paying adult.

The league made its first appearance in Korea in 2025 when Bryson DeChambeau delivered a standout performance. The American captured the individual title and guided Crushers GC to the team victory in a commanding double triumph. DeChambeau will return next year aiming to defend both crowns against a strong international field.

Anthony Kim resurgence adds intrigue

Among those in the spotlight will be former Ryder Cup player Anthony Kim. Kim recently produced one of the stories of the season when he defeated DeChambeau and Legion XIII captain Jon Rahm to win the LIV Golf Adelaide title. The victory marked his first professional triumph in nearly 16 years.

Local interest will centre on Korean Golf Club, a team built entirely around homegrown talent. Captain Byeong Hun An leads the lineup alongside Minkyu Kim, Younghan Song and Danny Lee. The team was formed in 2026 and has already gained momentum with support from domestic partners including HANWHA PLUS and apparel brand AMAZINGCRE. Their presence adds a distinctive Korean identity to the LIV Golf league and reflects the country’s growing influence within the sport.

An, Captain of Korean Golf Club said:

“Playing LIV Golf in Korea means a great deal to all of us. Competing at home, in front of Korean fans, brings a different level of pride.

“As a team, we’re excited to represent Korean golf on this stage and around the world, and we’re excited to show the energy, passion and competitiveness that define the way Korean Golf Club plays the game.”

Busan prepares to host global golf event

Busan itself promises an energetic backdrop. Known for its coastline, lively culture and sporting passion, the city will host a LIV Golf event for the first time as part of the league’s 14-tournament global schedule staged across 10 countries and five continents.

Entertainment planned alongside LIV Golf Korea 2026

The tournament will again blend elite golf with entertainment beyond the fairways. Last year’s Korean debut featured performances from major music acts including G-Dragon and IVE. Organisers have indicated that another full programme of live entertainment will accompany the 2026 event with further details to be revealed later.

Mr Park Heong-joon, Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City said:

“We are proud to welcome the LIV Golf League back to Korea and to host the event in Busan for the first time this May. Bringing a global sporting event of this scale to our city reflects Busan’s growing role as an international destination for sport, culture and tourism.

“We look forward to welcoming players, fans and visitors from around the world and showcasing the hospitality of Busan.”

Record crowds highlight growing momentum

Momentum behind the tour continues to build. LIV Golf Adelaide earlier this season attracted more than 115,000 spectators across four days including a single day attendance of over 38,500, both new records for the league and for professional golf events in Australia.

All LIV Golf events during the 2026 season will be broadcast live in Korea on JTBC. Further details on the Busan tournament and ticket access can be found at LIVGolf.com.
