LIV Golf Singapore is the second leg of the Asian LIV Golf swing, following on from a successful event in Hong Kong last week.

Sergio Garcia claimed just his second victory on the breakaway tour since joining in 2022, fending off Dean Burmester and Phil Mickelson in the third tournament of the 2025 season.

The 2017 Masters champion appears to be eyeing an 11th appearance at the Ryder Cup following his win.

“We’ve been in touch, so I know that he [Donald] is keeping an eye [on me]. The only thing I can do is keep playing good golf,” said the Spaniard in Hong Kong.

“I just want to help the European team like I’ve tried to do every single time I’ve been a member of that team. Hopefully, he will think I’m good enough for it.”

This victory by the veteran European stalwart sets up the Singapore event rather nicely. Brooks Koepka will be looking to defend the title he won 12 months ago, prevailing over the Australian duo of Cameron Smith and Marc Leishman.

Ripper GC – featuring an Aussie quartet – won the team title in Singapore last year. Who will be the victors in 2025?

Course details: Sentosa Golf Club

Sentosa Golf Club isn’t just one of the best courses in Asia, it happens to be one of the finest on the globe.

The par-72, 7403-yard course was a host venue on the DP World Tour and Asian Tour previously, before staging the LIV Singapore events in 2023 and 2024.

Sentosa Golf Club features two 18-hole championship courses – Serapong and Tanjong – but it is the former which will be used this week.

It was ranked as 55th in Golf Digest’s top-100 courses in 2022-2023 and the players will face a difficult challenge this week.

Located on an island south of the city, the course has plenty of highlights. The stretch between holes four and seven is termed the ‘Dragons Tail’ and is renowned for its strategic nature.

Water comes into play on most holes, meaning accuracy off the tee will be crucial this week.

LIV Golf Singapore 2025: Format and prize fund

LIV Golf Singapore will be played over 54 holes across three days, with a shotgun start each day and no cut.

Every player in a team competes in two competitions simultaneously – individual and team – with each stroke counting in the individual event, whereas only the combined scores of the team’s top three players count for the opening two rounds.

All four scores count in the final round of each event.

There is a $25m prize fund on offer. $20m is assigned to the individual competition, with $5m going towards the team event.

The winner will take home a $4m share, with last place earning $50,000. In the team event, £3m goes to the winning foursome as the second and third place finishers win $1.5m and $500,000 respectively.
