Three LIV Golf stars look set to play a key role in the 45th edition of the Ryder Cup that will be held at Bethpage Black this week.
Indeed, Bryson DeChambeau for Team USA and Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton for Team Europe will be vital for each of their sides this week.
Collectively, the trio have played in eight Ryder Cups. DeChambeau and Hatton secured automatic qualification for the biennial event, while Rahm was a captain’s pick by Luke Donald.

With Team USA chasing a third consecutive home victory, while Europe chase a first away win since 2012, the event is finely poised indeed.
It could be up to the three LIV Golfers to spur their team on to success this week in New York.
The Ryder Cup is finely poised
DeChambeau will be hoping to make up for lost time, having missed out on the 2023 event.
Since then, the American has won the 2024 US Open and finished runner-up in two more major championships to ensure he wouldn’t be missing out this time around.

Across his two Ryder Cups, he has a 2-3-1 record and he will be desperate to improve on this at Bethpage Black.
For Hatton, he holds a record of 5-4-2 over his three previous appearances at the Ryder Cup. His best showing came last time out, winning 3.5 points from four matches as Europe won 16.5-11.5.
In Rahm’s case, a record of 6-3-3 is more than respectable and he has been on two winning teams already during his career.
While he might not be in the same sort of form he was heading into Rome, Rahm did win the LIV Golf Individual title back in August.

The Spaniard, like Seve Ballesteros, Jose Maria Olazabal and Sergio Garcia before him, loves Matchplay, no doubt about that.
Whatever happens, expect these three players to be leading the charge for their respective teams.
