Nacho Elvira managed to hold on to the Made in Himmerland lead in spite of a double bogey at the final hole. He closed with a 66 to take a one-shot lead at 13-under into the final day in Denmark.
“I did play really well,” said the Spaniard.
“The 18th tee shot was a bad swing and I can take a bad swing. It’s okay, it’s a good round of golf.
“I haven’t been putting great this season and it seems this week, it’s working out my way. I’m hitting it really well so I’m leaving myself closer chances for birdie, which helps a lot. I’m very pleased with my putting.”
Robert MacIntyre also closed with a 66 and stayed in second place at 12-under one shot ahead of fellow Scot Richie Ramsay who carded a 65.
Another Scot, Marc Warren, recorded a 67 for a share of fourth place at 9-under alongside the Netherlands’ Daan Huizing (66).
