PING announces new nationwide Junior Golf Tour in the UK

PING has strengthened its commitment to junior golf by launching the PING Junior Golf Tour for youngsters across the UK.

PING has announced the launch of its nationwide PING Junior Golf Tour, further expanding its dedication to growing the junior game. The initiative builds on a strong 15-year partnership with the Northern Junior Tour, now extending to a national level to offer more opportunities for young golfers.

Aiming to offer more than just competitive events, the initiative hopes to foster a community where players of all abilities can grow and succeed in a supportive environment. “We’re delighted to be launching the PING Junior Golf Tour in 2025 and further expanding our support of junior golf in the UK,” says Matt Clark, European Marketing Manager at PING Europe.

The existing partnership with Jason Budd and Mike Greener, directors of the Northern Junior Tour, has already proven successful in cultivating a close-knit golfing community, and now PING aims to broaden this impact nationwide.

Beyond its competitive structure, the PING Junior Golf Tour emphasises inclusivity, building a platform where young golfers — no matter their age or skill level — can find a supportive environment to develop within the sport.

By creating an accessible, engaging space for young players, PING is helping to grow the sport from the ground up, aligning with the brand’s long-standing ethos of supporting athletes at every stage of their journey. “Regardless of age or ability, we want everybody to come to our events, have fun, and play your best,” adds Clark.

Players aged 6-21 are invited to participate, with its pinnacle event — the Grand Final — taking place at Thonock Park in Gainsborough, allowing junior golfers across the country to showcase their talent and experience being part of a larger golfing community.

In addition to growing the sport, the tour aims to empower its players both on and off the course, hoping to encourage participation through its welcoming philosophy. By providing accessible pathways to competitive golf, PING continues its efforts to grow the game and open opportunities for the next generation of golfers.
