Round 2, Round 3, Round 4

Bronte Law sits in a three-way tie for the lead after shooting a six-under 65 on the opening day of the Pure Silk Championship in Williamsburg.

The Englishwoman, starting on the back nine, overcame the windy conditions to chip in an eagle on the par-five third and complete the first round without a single bogey.

Speaking after her round, the 24-year-old credited the eagle putt for getting her game going.

"It took me a while to make my first birdie," she told LPGA website.

"I was playing steady and wasn't hitting the ball as well as I would have hoped but I made some good par saves here and there from some long putts and then just started to find my groove a little bit.

"I made an eagle on the third hole, which was my back side, and from there kind of started to pick it up a little and started finding myself with a good score.

"There's nothing more to it. On days like this when it's windy, you've just got to keep grinding all day, and you take the chances when they come, and I did a pretty good job of that today."

American Jennifer Song also enjoyed a blemish-free round for a share of the lead alongside Law and Anna Nordqvist , who recovered from a bogey on the third to pick up shots on the seventh, ninth and 10th holes before running off four straight birdies through holes 13 to 16.

Scotland's Gemma Dryburgh sits in the chasing pack alongside Brooke Henderson, Katherine Perry, Jacqui Concolino and Jasmine Suwannapura at five under, while defending champion Ariya Jutanugarn finished in joint 65th place after an even-par 71.
