Which golf courses have hosted the most major championships?

Major championships demand the best courses, and the ones on this list have more than earned their place.

Major championships are the crème de la crème of golf tournaments. Many golfers will often dream of winning one or envision sinking the final putt at the Masters while practising at their home course.

Securing a major victory can define a golfer’s career and secure their place in history as one of the sport’s greats.

But what often makes these events so thrilling and unforgettable is the course on which they’re held. To highlight this, we’ve compiled a list of the courses that have hosted the most major championships — excluding amateur and senior events — since records began.

1. Augusta National Golf Club (USA)

Augusta National is the exclusive host of The Masters, held annually since 1934, making it the course with the most consistent major hosting.
