October 22-25
Sherwood Country Club, Thousand Oaks, California
$8,000,000
Round 1, Round 2, Round 4

Justin Thomas caught a break late in his round in the Zozo Championship and made two birdie putts to close with a 5-under 67 for a 19-under, 197 total and a one-shot lead over Jon Rahm.

โ€œDidn't have my best stuff by any means, but to shoot a round like that is huge on a course like this. Usually I'm grinding to shoot a 1-, 2-, 3-under. Here at Sherwood, the scores are very low and you need to be able to, crazy as it is, shoot 5-under to keep pace.โ€

Rahm was on great form on Saturday and was 6-under at the turn, he closed with a 63.

โ€œTee to green was pretty much the same. Maybe just a little bit better, but I made the putts, which always helps, right? Making the putt on 1 and 2 freed me up a little bit. Got a really, really good round going early on.โ€

Lanto Griffin took the lead early on Saturday with four straight birdies and held it until two bogeys over the last four holes held him back and he closed with a 68.

Phil Mickelson's round started well with seven birdies in eight holes, but a double bogey on the par-3 3rd and a bogey on the last hole meant closing with a 67.

Tiger Woods, who recovered from an opening 74 with a second round 66, faced another hard round and had to settle for a 71.

โ€œThe golf course was gettable and I just didn't do it."

Asked about the Masters, Woods confirmed that the annual Champions Dinner will still be held this year, although it has been relocated to a different room to allow for social distancing.

โ€œI think we're not going to get a lot of the past champions coming because obviously they're at the at-risk age," said Woods. "It's going to be a shame, but this is unlike any times we've ever had in the past, so we've got to do what we can do to obviously have the traditions that we'd like to have but also maintain safety guidelines."

There has been no announcement so far about the Par-3 Contest.
