Davis Riley and Nick Hardy started the day three shots behind the lead and closed with a 65 in Foursomes play to win the Zurich Classic with a record 30-under 258.

“I don’t remember either of us getting mad over a shot. That was huge for us,” said Hardy. “We handled our emotions so well. Now that I look back, I think that was the biggest key.”
Neither made a single bogey at the weekend and this was a first victory on Tour for both Americans in their 59th (Riley) and 51st (Hardy) starts.
“It was nerve-racking honestly,” said Riley. “Any time you’re trying to win a golf tournament, more or less to get your first win is always tough. You’re going to have to kind of step up there and hit some shots. Fortunately, we were able to kind of execute some really good shots coming down the stretch, and it was really fun.”
” I’ll second that,” continued Hardy. “I feel like we both handled it very well coming down the stretch. First timers, obviously. So to be able to do that together, kind of rub off each other’s confidence and sort of attitude. It was definitely special to have a partner for the first one.”

Canadians Nick Taylor and Adam Hadwin started the day seven shots off the lead and finished second at 28-under after playing a final 63, equalling the course record in Foursomes set on Friday by Americans Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele.
“I would say that we kind of picked who would go odds and evens about perfectly today,” said Hadwin.
“I drove it pretty well. I drove it in play. His irons were great today, gave me a lot of looks, and I had a great feel for the greens. I rolled in a lot of putts there, especially on that middle stretch when we went on a run.
“I missed a couple iron shots coming in. He hit great chip shots. Just really good team partner golf today, and to kind of end like that is pretty special.”
After holding at least a share of the lead for the first three rounds, Wyndham Clark and Beau Hossler of the USA finished third at 27-under after carding a 71.
Defending champions Schauffele and Cantlay signed for a 66 and tied for fourth at 26-under alongside compatriots Matthew NeSmith and Taylor Moore who shot a 69.
