Justin Suh holds the 54-hole lead/co-lead for the first time on the PGA Tour after carding a 3-under 67 to reach 9-under at the Zozo Championship, his 11th consecutive round of par or better.

“I think overall throughout the day we just, you know, tried to find fairways, greens,” said the American. “Obviously in the beginning I missed a few greens, but I was on the correct side and I thought making those critical up-and-downs were huge in the beginning.”

Rookie Eric Cole shot a 66 and lies in a share of second place at 8-under alongside compatriot  and overnight leader Beau Hossler (69).

“Overall it’s a good day,” said Cole. “You know, 66 on Saturday on the PGA Tour’s pretty good. I obviously would have liked to finish a little better, but I think I’m in a decent position. Hopefully come out swinging tomorrow morning.

“A lot of times, everyone’s so good out here, it seems like you have to play perfect. Most of the time, in my experience, if you just stick to your game and play solid, you’ll have at least a chance on the back nine.”

Fellow American Collin Morikawa who led after the first round opened with a double bogey and made two bogeys countered by eight birdies including five in his final six holes to close with a 66 and solo fourth place at 7-under.

Argentina’s Emiliano Grillo (68) and Japan’s Satoshi Kodaira (69) are tied in fifth place at 6-under.
