LIV Golfers Lee Westwood and Richard Bland failed to mount a Sunday challenge at the 2025 Senior PGA Championship.
Westwood was playing in just his second senior major, having finished in a tie for 31st at the 2024 Senior U.S. Open.
Bland has enjoyed more success, however. Last year, he claimed both the Senior PGA and U.S. Open. Remarkably, these were his first two events on the tour.

At Congressional last week, the pair finished T25 and T14, respectively. The result was disappointing, especially for Bland, who was defending the title and had performed well at the PGA Championship the week prior at Quail Hollow.
Westwood will have plenty more opportunities to win on the senior circuit, but he would have hoped for more in Maryland.
Lee Westwood and Richard Bland struggled on Sunday at the Senior PGA
Heading into the weekend, Bland was three under par, and this put him right in contention for yet another senior major title.
Rounds of 73 and 72 saw him finish at two-under, dropping him down the leaderboard, and it was certainly a missed opportunity.
In Westwood’s case, he entered Sunday sitting at three-under and in prime position to make a charge on the final day.

His hopes were dashed with a round of 77, one of the worst scores among those who made the cut.
Lessons will be learned from this poor showing at Congressional, especially when he next tees it up in a senior major championship.
The next LIV Golf event takes place at the start of June in Virginia, with Robert Trent Jones Golf Club playing host for the very first time this season.
Bland sits 17th in the individual standings after seven events, with his highest finish being fifth in Adelaide. Westwood is further down, currently sitting way down at 53rd place and if he doesn’t improve, he will be stuck in the drop zone.
